  • As an alternative make a powder of watermelon seeds with help of home grinder. Add two tablespoons of this to 1 cup of boiled water and leave it for about one hour. Strain the mixture properly with help of spoon and drink at regular intervals throughout the day.

  • Make a habit of eating 1 or 2 cloves of garlic daily. Just crush the garlic cloves with your hands or teeth and chew them slowly.
  • If you don’t like the smell of garlic or you can’t eat raw, you can mix few drops of garlic juice in 1 glass of water and take it once or twice a day.

I am not saying you to eat salt free foods as it will be hard to follow. Salt is not a problem for high blood pressure persons, rather sodium which is found in salt is a worry. Sodium is necessary especially for kids for their growth but it is to be consumed in a limit. Too much salt increase the volume of liquid in the body and make the job of heart tough to pump the blood, which results in high blood pressure. Reduce the quantity of salt you put in your food and recipes. Avoid sprinkling salt on your salad and fruits as this is more dangerous and sometimes the main cause of hypertension.
